uEFI, Unified Extensible Firmware Interface



인텔에서 EFI를 개발. BIOS 의 1메가 메모리 제한으로 서버군에서 x86 CPU 사용에 한계가 생길 것을 우려해 BIOS를 대체하기 위해 발표함.

2005년 부터 UEFI 포럼 관리 하에 uEFI가 쓰이고 있다. MBR와 GPT 지원.
